A Film! A Movie! Who doesn’t like this! Children especially are captivated by it. Suppose, students are given guidance through such a fascinating medium, how nice it would be! This is exactly what this CD does! It is not only entertaining but is also educative. It is educative in the sense that, even a most ordinary student can rise to extraordinary excellence by the guidance given here.

How to get concentration? How to utilize the time efficiently? – such questions have become an enigma for most of the students today. Here you find appropriate and effective answers for them. This film is bound to gear up students to scale the heights of success and glory!

You will be glad to know that a summer camp , viz.., Vasanta Vihara for boys in the age group of 10-16 yrs was held in the Ashrama for one whole month in two batches from April 15th to May 15th 2007. More than 150 students participated in the camp.

Classes were held on Vedic Chanting, Sanskrit language, Yogasanas, Meditation, Character Building, art and many other facets of our great culture. Lectures and presentations were also organized on many themes including “Managing Energy resources”, “Preventive Medicine”, “Computers-DOs & DONT’s”, crafting, learning English language, etc pertaining to day-to-day life. These classes were conducted by Swamijis and eminent members of the society in the pure and elevating atmosphere of the Ashrama where Swami Vivekananda had stayed for more than 9 days.

The Ashrama had conducted competitions on essay writing, drawing and painting, elocution and quiz on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda for the students of primary and high schools in the city of Belgaum. We believe they help in propagating the character-building, strength-giving messages of Swami Vivekananda and will immensely benefit budding students. More than 450 students participated and 46 students won prizes. Books worth Rs. 4,000/- on Swami Vivekananda useful to the students were given as prizes.
