Swami Vivekananda, the creator of modern India was deeply interested in the youth. He was a pathfinder for the modern youth. It was his firm conviction that if the youth are trained and disciplined and given higher ideas to live by, the upliftment of the nation is well at hand. He delivered his special message, full of fire and inspiration, addressed to the youth of India.

His birthday on the 12th of January is observed as the National Youth day every year. In order to carry forward Swamiji’s mission of caring for the youth community, we had organized Personality Development and Motivation camps for the students and youths in the Ashrama. The camp was conducted by experts in this field.:

• Srimat Swami Jagadatmanandaji Maharaj (a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order and the President of the Ramakrishna Saradashrama at Ponnampet, Coorg)

• Sri Ajit Kaikani (CEO, Buoyancee, Bangalore) &

• Swami Atmaprananandaji , Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Belgaum

Each camp was modeled with the following programmes to make it enlightening and beneficial to the participants. It included Vedic chants, Bhajans & Prayers, inspiring and motivating lectures, interaction sessions, etc. “Panchasheela” of education was distributed for the benefit of students. The camps were conducted free of cost  and the students participating in the morning camp were served tea and lunch prasada and those in the afternoon camps were served with tea and snacks.
