The Story of Diogenes

Diogenes looked upon the life as a dream. He was one day pelted with stones by some boys in Athens and he fell down bleeding. One of the boys came up to him and asked, “Well, Diogenes , do you still maintain that life is a dream?” and Diogenes answered with a smile, “Yes, certainly – only it is a painful dream!”
